But before the sun sets, go get a quick pic of the Ox Wagon monument whilst soaking in the South African heritage that is so plentiful in this small town. The Ossewa Trek of 1838 is commemorated by this monument. To memorialize the migration of dissident Afrikaners from the Western Cape, the Ox wagon monument contains a concrete imprint of a wagon wheel track.
